CanPoll is an informal opinion tracker, not a scientific survey. Results show what this site's visitors chose, not the Canadian electorate. Every ballot counts toward a running total that carries over from day to day. You can vote once per question per day; ballots reopen at midnight Pacific time. The Northwest Territories and Nunavut use consensus government with no parties, so their ballots ask about the territorial government instead. Anyone can vote on the federal ballot. Provincial and territorial ballots are for residents: you choose your home province or territory, and it stays locked for 30 days once set. CanPoll does not ask for your name or email. Your browser gets an anonymous id, used only to limit ballots to one per question per day. Election dates are scheduled dates and can change if an early election is called.
